You may have heard that Wendy is dead. She was an amazing creature until the end. We went on a road trip six weeks ago and she, while hardly able to walk, was game. leslie so relieved you were not pool stealing. neat idea, an air conditioned place with pool and bar. oh that’s where i live. well no pool, very sad. we did see our spa today. went to the local supply for building stuff store and there it was. a three thousand six hundred litre water tank. or about three hundred and fifty gallons. next a heater!

when i was in high school there was a revision of the naming of a storm. these liberated thinkers decided to protest and now storms are named after boys and girls. ships are still called she and that is whether it is named after a president, a queen or a project, endeavor. most are named after birds like frigate, corvair, corsare, etc. well one of those storms...

two nights ago a sea hawk came and went to sleep on the Hobie mast.
just as total darkness was about to descend on us, we had a full moon- as total as possible, then bird came and sat on the mast. we watched for fifteen minutes ,as it made throat like sounds , rumblings probably about how unsuited its perch was for sleeping and then silence. the bird did not move and later it was still...

Today is hot. Just listening to Fudge makes a person think of a little engine that could. Windy seems to suffer less. Chips loves the heat and has dug a hole under the truck and lays there after a run.
