Really enjoyed the photos and thought the stuff better than what I would have done. A friend of mine for a while in college Gary Ayala had the eye that you have. I would send a photo to a contest of a house, dog, bird or children’s toys in the play yard of a day care center. He would send in an unidentifiable reflection off the water or indistinguishable baby sheep in silhouette and get a higher score from the judges. Mine were pretty, his were art. I think you have both images in mind when you shoot.

After I sent you the e-mail I realized what the bike you were talking about looked like. Steel framed and light weight ten or twelve speed. Shimano shifters and derailers I like the image of the one i was thinking of though, better. It was an Italian work of art.

Not being corny, but thank you for going photo shooting with me and being brave to try sailing.

Gary Ayala once was assigned to go to India just about the time a plague was reaching its peak. Several days before the trip he went parra-shooting and basically screwed up. Fell from the sky at from one hundred feet as his second shot opened. Landed on his Nikon and did not get a chance to catch the plague. He had promised tickets for the circus so we drove down to Newport beach. Three of us guys went to see the circus. He was on crutches and taking lots of pills. His photos are on the web. Take a look. Its the same kind of arraingment you have for keeping them on the web. Go figure, we did not keep in touch after that. I have written too much but the dish was down for two weeks, days and it seemed like longer and I had to get my fingers moving again.
