We are back. And the cat is very happy to see us. It makes me feel guilty but he is fat and well. Another cat has been seen in the neighbor hood. I had to stop suggestions of another adoption. This is a truly wild thing maybe a year old. That is about how old they get to be here. Eating lizards and mice doesn’t provide you with much sustenance. And the coyotes and dogs like to chew on the cats making for a short life.
Dennis our neighbor has rescued at least four cats who now live in California. Rescued at least that many dogs. There is no telling how they get here and some have been very healthy looking. the few I have seen look healthier than the ones I have seen in town. Last cat rescued was saved from a coyote on top of Dennis’s roof. Two in the morning the fiercest howling and cat hissing sound woke us all up.
There is surf today at least a foot and a half or more. Breaking left or right the ride is about twenty feet no much more. yesterday mice would not have found a wave.
